Kent Off-spinner James Tredwell will have the honour of leading England in the Second and Final T20I against New Zealand at The Oval this evening. The 31-year-old gets his opportunity following a late withdrawal from Eoin Morgan because of a right-hand injury. Ironically, Morgan himself was the stand-in captain in the absence of England’s regular T20 Captain Stuart Broad.

Tredwell has played only 6 T20Is so far but he has done a tremendous job for England in ODIs recently in the absence of the injured Graeme Swann. With Morgan out of the match, the tricky question of which batsman has to make way for Kevin Pietersen has been solved. It is a must-win game for England tonight having lost the first T20I at the same venue.
